For more technically demanding conditions, Chris and MTM’s specialized team bring wildfire experience and specialized equipment, with other qualified specialists involved where needed.
We agree on the scope and responsibilities with you before work begins, then connect the completed work back to the original priorities.

MTM is developing FireChat around practical wildfire expertise. The aim is to help identify what matters and what to do next, with more consistent, actionable decisions across more properties.
FireChat supports experts as they assess properties and consider mitigation priorities. Field observations and professional review remain part of the process.
We are working toward connecting assessments, work plans, verification, and reassessment in one system. The longer-term goal is to help organizations prioritize and track work across many properties.
These connected platform and portfolio capabilities are in development, not a generally available software product.
Field projects connect what was observed, what experts recommended or changed, what crews performed, and what happened afterward. That experience informs our methods and the technology we are developing.

MTM combines wildfire expertise, physical mitigation, and modern technology to carry a property from assessment through verified work.
Founder Christopher Schaum served 21 years with the Santa Fe Fire Department, retiring as a Training Captain in 2013. His background spans wildland and structural firefighting, technical rescue, and hands-on land management.
Developed through Chris’s Tree Service, MTM turns that practical foundation into a repeatable process supported by a team, qualified providers, and expert-informed tools.
